If you’re a big fan of live music, look no further than 37 Main in Avondale Estates. This tribute show packs in just as much lighting, music, and intensity as the real thing.
Sunday, December 19th: Breakfast with Santa at Avalon
If you’re trying to entertain your little ones this season, breakfast with Santa Claus himself is a must. Join Santa at South City Kitchen for a classic southern breakfast with a Christmas-y twist.
Monday, December 20th: Skate the Sky at Ponce City Market
Ponce City Market is an Atlanta must-see for a reason. With a gorgeous view of Atlanta’s skyline, the rooftop skating rink is great for anything from a date-night to a fun day out with friends and family. Reservations are available now through January 9th, but hurry because spots fill up quickly.
Tuesday, December 21st: Georgia Tech vs. Georgia State
More into watching sports rather than actually taking part in them? No problem! You won’t want to miss this head-to-head men’s basketball matchup of two Atlanta-based teams – Georgia Tech vs. Georgia State. Tickets begin as low as $12, but you can secure an even closer seat for just $25.
Wednesday, December 22nd: Atlanta Christkindl Market
If you still are missing a few things from your gift shopping list, this year’s German market will certainly have something for everyone. From the architecture, to the food and drinks, you will feel like you are in a true winter wonderland.
Thursday, December 23rd: Holiday Bars
Atlanta has no shortage of fun holiday-themed bars to visit. Tiki Tango has the Grinch, Foxtrot has the Griswolds, and Tapa Tapa is currently home to the Miracle on Monroe Christmas bar. There’s plenty of drinks to go around, but space is limited so arrive early or be prepared to wait.
Friday, December 24th: Annual Christmas Eve Wine Tasting
Celebrate the upcoming holiday with a curated wine tasting featuring festive wine and gourmet truffles. The event starts at 5pm, so you have plenty of time to spend the rest of the evening preparing for the next day.
Saturday, December 25th: Christmas Day
Merry Christmas! Though this day is often spent with family, if you don’t have family around, or even just simply don’t celebrate Christmas, there is still plenty to do. There’s the classic theme of Chinese food dinners, but also consider trying something new. Movie theaters are often open on Christmas Day, but if you’re more of an outdoorsy type, consider spending time in nature.
Sunday, December 26th: IllumiNights at the Zoo
Make the most of the weekend with a trip to Zoo Atlanta for, “a nighttime lantern wonderland celebrating the beauty of the natural world.” This event takes place now through January 16th and offers a unique way to experience the zoo and is fun for all ages.
