Looking for more family-friendly fun? Connect with wildlife at Zoo Atlanta during their monthly Adventure Cub meeting. June’s theme is Excellent Elephants and will involve an activity, reading, and “creating a take-away memory”.
Wednesday, June 22nd: Bob Thompson: This House is Mine
If you are looking for something more geared toward adults, look no further than the latest featured exhibit at the High Museum. Get a unique look at the “euphoric color” and riveting art that has not been presented in over twenty years. Access to the exhibit is included in the price of admission.
Thursday, June 23rd: Heroes of History Summer Camp
If you are still looking for a camp for your child to attend this summer, time is running out. Enroll in the Atlanta History Center’s Heroes of History program from June 20th-June 24th. Children will have the opportunity to learn about all different heroes, from Stephen Hawking to Ida B. Wells, to Jackie Robinson. Registration is still available.
Friday, June 24th: Bytes and Brews
Step into the Computer Museum of America after-hours and enjoy some enthralling science talk while having access to light appetizers and alcoholic drinks. This is the second year for the event and will feature an exclusive reveal of an Apollo Guidance Computer.
Saturday, June 25th: Tree Tour
If the outdoors is more your thing, you may enjoy a tour of the Art and Pollinators of the Atlanta BeltLine Westside Trail. Registration is free and you will be guided by two featured artists and a docent from Trees Atlanta to learn all about the restoration efforts made along the popular path.
Sunday, June 26th: College Football Hall of Fame
The College Football Hall of Fame’s latest exhibit is focused on those who have stood out as game changers over the last 50 years of college football. Take a walk through the exhibit to see how their trailblazing efforts have helped the sport evolve for both players and fans.
