18-year-old Sophie Lekiachvili died just after midnight on February 24 in a single-car crash. She was a student at Lakeside High School.
The incident took place along Oak Grove Road near Kirkland Drive.
Lekiachvili was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital, where she passed away a few hours later.
Lekiachvili’s classmates have left flowers near the crash site during a gathering on February 26.
Two other Lakeside students were involved in the crash and are recovering. Their identities, ages, and potential relationship with Lekiachvili have not been released.
