The Atlanta Police Department is looking into an incident that claimed the life of an individual near Atlanta’s West End neighborhood on March 19. Details about the person who was killed have not been released to the public.

The multiple-vehicle crash occurred near Lee Street SW and Sylvan Road SW around 2:30 p.m. on March 19. Police found that a Ford F50 belonging to the City of College Park was traveling north in southbound lanes when it struck a Chevrolet Silverado, a Ford Fiesta, and a Saturn Vue.

There isn’t much information on how the collision started, or whether there was a mistake by one driver that led to multiple vehicles being involved. At this juncture, we do know that several other parties were hurt in the accident, but their medical statuses are not yet available.

It’s an unfortunate series of events that has sadly changed the fortunes of at least one person fatally and may alter the well-being of others who were present at the time of the crash. It’s important to keep in mind that acquaintances who were not present that day but maintain a close relationship with the victims are also heavily affected by events that take place in this fashion.
