A fatal crash took place at the I-285 ramp on Jonesboro Road in the early morning hours of March 27.
An 18-wheeler and what was described as a regular passenger vehicle smashed into one another and unfortunately, the occupants of the car took the worst of it.
One person in the car was not able to survive the wreckage and was pronounced dead on the scene. The other occupant of the car was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The identities of the deceased individual and the injured individual have not been released to the public, and it’s unclear who was driving at the time of the accident.
According to reports, the truck driver was not injured in the accident. News crew footage of the scene showed slick roads following the heavy thunderstorms that pummeled Atlanta over the weekend.
