A fatal incident occurred at the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Atlanta on the night of November 13. Police responded to the hotel around 8 p.m., where they found a young woman dead of a gunshot wound. Police believe the victim, a 30-year-old Black woman, was in some kind of dispute with her killer when she was shot.
After the shooting, the killer fled the scene and was pronounced at large as of that evening. He has not yet been identified by authorities.
If both parties were guests at the Hyatt, then the hotel should have information on one or both of the occupants, which might help law enforcement track down the suspect.
We are not aware of any measures taken by law enforcement in conjunction with the hotel at this time.
