On June 19, Spaghetti Junction lived up to its name as a location of mass confusion. A crash involving multiple semi-trucks on a major exit ramp of I-285 caused delays, injuries, and frustration as traffic backed up on the northbound lanes of I-85.

The size and location of the vehicles involved in the crash made it difficult for authorities to process the scene and clear the area expediently. The incident took place around 4:30 a.m., shortly before the morning commute was about to get underway.

At least two tractor-trailers were involved, with one of them being completely turned according to reports.

It’s not clear what caused the accident at this time, or whether anyone present in the tractor-trailers was injured. It appears as if the only parties in each of the tractor-trailers were the individual drivers, but we will continue to monitor the story to confirm this.

The identity of those involved in the crash has also not been revealed, and it’s not known if those details will become available at a later time.

Anyone who planned to use that ramp as part of their morning commute was strongly advised to consider an alternative route to their destination.
